Discus and support Office 2013 and Microsoft Edge no longer open on my PC. in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I recently had issues with the speed of my PC so downloaded Avast cleanup to sort this out.     Office 2013 and Microsoft Edge no longer open on my PC.


    I recently had issues with the speed of my PC so downloaded Avast cleanup to sort this out. Which it seems to have done. However, I can now no longer open Avast and more importantly Office 2013 and Microsoft Edge no loner open and I get no error messages.

    Our IT department sent a note about home use (Office 365, specifically), and this warning:

    A suggestion... re-install Office 2010, then try to install 2013?

    ok MisterEd, My screenshot below shows what you directed me to.

    Am I going to have to do this each time I use new app in Office 2013 ? Such as Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher etc ?

    Microsoft Office no longer working

    Hi Chris, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

    Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

    Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

    At the top, click 'Change'

    On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Quick Repair first, if that does not resolve this, try the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

    That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .

    NOTE: Please be advised, if you are running Office 2013 or earlier, before attempting a repair, have your Microsoft Office Product Key at hand, Office may need to be re-activated in some cases
