Windows 10: Office 2013 kb2965253 Fails

I have a strange issue. This kb2965253 has a 64 bit update and a 32 bit update for Office 2013. I have 64 bit Office 2013 and the 64 bit kb2965253 installed OK. However, when I look for updates it says I have a 32 bit version that did not install. Well, yeah, I believe that, but why is MS Update telling me this as I do have 64 bit Office 2013 and the 64 bit kb2965253 installed fine.

Any way to stop UPDATE from telling me the 32 bit version failed to install?

UPDATE...it now is OK, but am surprised that MS thought I even needed the 32 bit kb2965253.

Windows Update Error - Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2965253) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x80240017

I keep receiving a notification that an update is necessary to be installed on my Surface Pro4. Running Windows 10 and Office 2013 -both are 64 bit. The update I keep getting notified about is Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2965253) 32-Bit Edition,
followed by this error: Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2965253) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x80240017. Since I'm running Office 64-bit, how do i get this update to recognize my version of Office and stop trying to install?

Hi All,

I have recently installed fresh OS of windows 10 Pro build 10586

But, While installing designer software's i have came to an error i.e windows 10 anniversary update (Version 1607) needs to be installed.



Following with the windows update error i.e (Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB2965253) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x80240017)

is stuck and is not letting further updates to install.

Please help with the solution.
