Windows 10: Office 2019 lifetime updates

I purchase a life time version of office 2019, my iMac was purchased in 2013, I can longe update and use my office 2019 purchase. why is this

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

Yes, a Windows 10 retail licence is a lifetime licence as is an Office 2019 licence.

When you initially pay for those, they are linked to your Microsoft Account and Office.com accounts,

Then from then on your licences are managed online, because WIndows and Office now use digital licencing, and you will be able to transfer both of those to another PC when the need arises . . .

I bought office home and student 2019 lifetime for 1 user in 2020. I have now been told my school account is no longer active and it is trying to get me to pay again, but i was under the impression i would have it on my laptop for the foreseeable?
