    Office Apps try to save to "Shared Documents" instead of "Documents"


    I am having issues with user OneDrive's attempting to save to the wrong location. I have users, when attempting to save in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, their save location is "Shared Documents." If you look, the correct location is supposed to be "Documents":Correct location:Broken Location:This seems to be built into the profile itself. If I load up a computer with this users account, it is always pointing back to "Shared Documents." I can't tell what configuration on the backend handles this setting and how to get it changed. Can someone who knows more about OneDrive assist with this? I do have

    Use 'Save as' and choose from the list of options.

    Can I save a document that is either a Neat Office or Word Pad document then save it as a Word Document?

    I used to use word pad WAY back when I 1st began using PCs and there really wasn't anything else because that's what came installed on my computer. Problem is, I cannot open them using the Word program. So I looked at the Microsoft store for an app that would open them and got Neat Office. So, now, the word pad documents are Neat Office documents.

    What I want to do is get my old documents open and save them as Word Documents. Regretfully, it seems that I have no option other than it being a Neat Office document. There's GOT to be a way to open these documents and save them as Word documents...right?

    These documents are important and I REALLY do NOT want to lose them. Please someone help me?

    New information - I couldn't open my Word Documents with Word while I had the Neat Office app. So, that didn't work and I had to uninstall it. Now I'm utterly lost!

    Hi

    When I press Windows+Tab on the keyboard I get recents apps and documents.

    The problem is, that all the documents are linked to the cloud, like d.docs.live.net instead of C:/onedrive/...

    When I press a recent document, a browser opens the document in Word Online - in the browser and not in the Word app as it should.

    I have tried to change the settings in Word (Save to this computer as default), but with no luck.

    Any suggestions?
