    I installed Excel and Word on Monday. Each is app is available as a separate download not like the desktop version where you can install the whole Office package at once. Word was working fine Monday but last night wasn't working and it referred me back to the store where all it said was I owned it. Excel is still working fine. Each app is touch friendly abut i don't have touch. One big difference between Office 2013 is the Windows 10 versions are missing the ribbons.

    No, desktop Office 2016/Office 365 or any prior version will not be free. Microsoft Office Team has developed a special touch optimized version of Microsoft Office for Tablets running Windows 10. This will be a free limited functionality version gear towards
    basic editing in Tablet mode. It lacks many of the capabilities of desktop Office. You can download it from the store.
