Windows 10: office update and disk space cleaning

Today I updated my office 2019 and C: drive space shrunk by 500 mb. Is it normal?
Where the office update files are downloaded and how they are cleaned after update?
I did disk cleanup. Still space is not recovered.

I understand that you are facing low disk space issue on your PC while trying to update Windows. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

1. What is the make and model of the PC?
   
2. How much free space do you have on the PC?
   
3. How are you trying to update to the latest version of Windows?
   

Usually, to install a new feature update of Windows your PC should have at least 10GB of free space available on the hard drive.

Hello,

Taking into consideration that the free space is shrinking fast, it is possible that your system is creating restore points. To
delete restore points except for the recent one, simply follow the steps below:

• From the Cortana search box, type Disk Cleanup and click on the first result.
• Once the Disk Cleanup window appears, select the
  More Options tab.
• Under the System Restore and Shadow Copies column, click on the
  Clean up... button.

Once done with the steps, see if your disk space has expanded.
