RetailDemo Offline Content?


Was cleaning up my 10162 install using cleanmgr. One option on the list was "RetailDemo Offline Content", it was 100MB. Not sure what this is, before I delete it. Suggestions?

 

Offline Maps for Pakistan

If you wish to download the offline map for Pakistan, then it is currently unavailable on the Windows phone. We suggest that you send a suggestion on the Feedback Hub so we can add it on the next update. To send a feedback on your phone, you can follow the
steps below:

• Go to All Apps, search for the Feedback Hub app.
• Open the menu icon at the top left side.
• Select Feedback, then at the top right side, tap the
  add button (+).
• Select Suggestion and fill up the box with the details needed.
• Select the right category, and then submit.

You can also download any alternative applications from the Store that support offline maps.

Activating Windows 10 Offline

However, I am a little confused (well a lot confused). Offline activation is clearly possible.

slui 4 brings up a dialog for offline activation.

If I understand you correctly, entering the product key offline is not possible.

I am trying to change the product key which appears to be impossible offline. I didn't enter the product key during setup since the supplier failed to put the sticker on the box (apparently this is a security hazard).

So I gather that I wouldn't have been able to enter the product key during setup in any case.

It is impossible for me to connect the PC to the internet. So I'm not sure where to go from here. I have found references online that suggest that Windows 10 will continue to be almost fully functional without activation. If this is correct, my best course
may be to live with what I currently have.
