Windows 10: Offline Virus Scan

Discus and support Offline Virus Scan in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; In the past, I have been able to do an occasional offline virus scan.     Offline Virus Scan


    In the past, I have been able to do an occasional offline virus scan. Not now... when I attempt to do this, after clicking that it's ok to let it make changes to my computer, it hangs up and never goes any further.


    Any ideas how to correct this?

    Defender Periodic Scanning or Offline Scanning?

    That link does suggest it's useful to use Defender offline scanning in addition to periodic scanning and a third party real time anti virus (e.g. Kaspersky).

    If not, suggests deeper problems. To which uninstall option are you referring? (A picture is worth...)
