Windows 10: OHCI conform 1394-hostcontroller

Ladies and gentlemen,


I bought a StarTech 2 Port 1394b FireWire ExpressCard 34laptop interface card EC1394B2, including the necessary cable to connect theNikon Super Coolscan 4000ED slide scanner.

The problem: The card is unfortunately not recognized as a "1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller Legacy", but - like other cards before - only as asystem device under "PCI-to-PCI bridge".When the card is inserted, a tone sounds and the message PCI-to-PCI bridge appears under system devices.When I switch on the scanner, however, there is no further sound, as was the case in the past.

I followed the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2970191/firewire-port-based-device-does-not-work-correctly-in-windows-8-1-or-w.

My Lenovo laptop system model 20BE0087GE has the latest Windows 10 Pro updates version 10.0.19042, build 19042.

So it would be great if you can help!

Windows 10 ≡ (1903) PCIe Firewire card (Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP - 1394 OHCI event error).

Did you try this troubleshooting step:

Press the Windows key + R.

Enter devmgmt.msc.

Click OK.

In Device Manager, expand IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers.

Right-click on 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller.

Click Update Driver Software.

Click Browse my computer for driver software.

Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Click 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy).

Click Next.

When Windows has finished installing the driver, click Close.

I need a 1394 OHCI Legacy Driver for windows 10

My Video camera will not work transfering Videos to the computer unless I have a

1394 OHCI Legacy Driver for windows 10.

Cant find one

 

LSI 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller

First Enable 1394 in the Bios. Boot into Windows and Go to the Device Manager, expand IEEE 1394 and right click the LSI device and choose Update Driver. Choose Browse my computer for driver software. Choose Let Me Pick from a list. Choose the 1394 OHCI compliant Host Controller instead of the LSI choose Next.
