Windows 10: Old acer monitor doesnt work on Windows 10

So I have this DVI Acer LCD monitor that has a sticker on it saying "Works With Windows Vista" now obviously I don't have Vista and I was wondering if it is compatible with my computer. I tried updating the drivers and stuff, everything in my device manager is up to date but the thing is the Acer monitor doesn't even show up as a device even after doing Windows Key - Ctrl - Shift - B. Now every time I plug in the DVI cable the monitor says "No Signal" not sure what to do about that since I cant update it's drivers. Also the monitor's power button which is blue when it's on and orange when it's

Hi, thanks for this suggestion, but it doesnt help.

The problem is that the driver 344.11 (old for windows 7) works correct, till there come the new 353.62 (made for windows 10); this wil be automaticly installed and than it go’s wrong (1 monitor).

Tipical is that when i look to the properties of the monitor i see there standing Microsoft Basic Display driver.

In device manager there is stand the GEForce GT430 driver but with a warning, this warning and with this warning ive donen your suggestion, as i said it doesnt work.

So i think there is something wrong with the driver 353.62.

I tryed already to block installing this driver but that does also not working, or i do something wrong?



I called serverel times the windows helpdesk, they should call me back, but no…..



I hope someone can help me.

Driver for Acer Monitor

I recently got a new HP 15 Laptop PC with Windows 10. When I connect the external monitor, an Acer K242HQL I can't get the mirror image to fill the screen. The colors are different than my laptop screen. And sometimes Windows doesn't detect it at all. I
tried to find a driver for Windows 10 thinking that would make everything work properly. On the Acer website, that Acer model doesn't have a Windows 10 driver download option, in only lists 7, 8, and Vista.

Does anyone know if there is a driver for Windows 10 that will work with this Acer model?

To address your issue with connecting a new monitor, please perform these steps:

• Plug in the old monitor.
• Uninstall the video driver, go to Device Manager > right-click on the video driver >
  Uninstall.
  
• Unplug the old monitor, then connect the new one.
• Turn on the computer, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
  

Update us on the result.
