Windows 10: Old Drive, New Computer but missing some files

Hi There:And thanks for your help.So the issue is that my previous computer running Pro 10 had a coronary. The good news is that the hard drives survived, I have now plugged them into my new machine Win 11 Home thru a docking station.Now I do see the Program files, Windows files etc......the files that I want and need to see are the Documents, Pictures, Music and Videos Folder. They are MIA!I have looked into changing the permissions etc.... and nothing, no Documents. Any advice....DanThanks

How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

I use the external drive
for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.

 

Old Hard drive to new hard drive

I now have my old hard drive converted to an external drive and am wondering what is the best way to move files from the old to the new. I was thinking of booting the old drive and saving the files I want to the cloud and then downloading them to my new
computer. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

 

Win 10 I have drives c, f, g when installed new printed drive f disappeared and only shows g how can i make compute showdrive f

To address your concern about missing drive, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Press Windows logo key + S on your keyboard.
• Type diskmgmt.msc on the search box and hit Enter.
• Look for your missing drive on the Disk Management window.
  
• Right-click on it and give it a new drive letter.

Let us know if the drive will show up.
