A reference to "netgear.com" domain on the DSL modem goes to all clients

I get the following domain information for netgear.com when I run IPCONFIG /ALL:

"DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : netgear.com

Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : netgear.com"

The only place I can see a reference to netgear.com in on the DSL modem. For some reason, netgear added this domain to the hard coding of the DSL modem. There is no field that has it that I can change. The router is a DLInk DIR-890L Rev A. The PC is running
Windows 10 1151 latest release and all updates are current. Is there some way I can over-ride it on the router or a PC client setup?

The answers to you questions are as follows: This problem occurs on all PCs, not just the one in this question. This is not a problem with PCs themselves, but common to my local network. It shows up on Windows 7 as well as 10. The problem is that "netgear.com"
domain is hardcoded into the DSL Modem. Each client receives the "netgear.com" domain as it gets forwarded from DSL modem to router then individual PCs. I'm not connected to any corporate domain network (unless if you call the hardcoded "netgear.com" as it
is acting like one). I didn't run any diagnostics, because they are not going to so anything for this problem. The main question is a network question, not a PC Windows problem. The reason I opened the question up under Windows 10 is I was hoping to find
someplace or policy that will over-ride the "netgear.com" coming from the modem/router.
