old email address is still used as identity for Microsoft

I have changed my Microsoft sign in email address recently and the older address and profile name still shows in several sign in areas. There is one only profile that I have. I have searched similar issues that users have reported but there doesn't appear to be a fix. Any ideas are welcome. If I edit my profile, it is accepted, then changes back to the old one

    :)

  2. old email addresses

Thank you for updating me HA.111

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

Continue to have an escellent day HA.111

  3. Merge old and new email addresses that are identical

    Dear friends,

    Please help.

Few years ago I had a business email address (lets call this Email A) under a domain I bought and own adn my friend's small business hosted the emails for me. I then created Email A in my Outlook and started using it here to send and receive business emails.

Some time later, due to business failures, the ownership of this domain lapsed as I could not make the renewal payment.

Several months later, I went back to pay for this same domain name again and through an email hosting provider, I created Email B that is identical to Email A (totally identical because I want previous potential clients to not be confused with different email addresses).

And so I thought that I could still use the same Outlook to send and receive emails (because both A & B are identical!) but alas! no such thing happened...emails cant go out and in.

So I had created a new email account in Outlook and now in my Outlook I have both the old and new (set of Inboxes, Send boxes, Deleted boxes...etc).

Can I merge them? As the recipients and senders are identical email addresses only from different times of domain ownership.

Now I can drag older emails from inbox of A into the inbox of B just to retain a copy.

However, at the Spam/Junk box of B, I cannot delete any emails. When I press delete, the junk/spam email header just shows like a strikethrough.

    Please help...

old email address is still used as identity for Microsoft

Microsoft Store is using wrong email address to verify my identity when making a purchase

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that when you try to make a purchase from Microsoft Store, you receive a verification pop for old email address. I’ll certainly assist you with this.

However, in order to get better clarity, please let us know:

    • When you say “I am browsing the Microsoft Store under the new email address”, are you using browser to check Microsoft Store?
    • Have you changed the Microsoft account in the Microsoft Store app?
    • Are you using the old email address to login to your computer?
    • Is the old email address still being used in your Microsoft account?

Please reply with the details requested above to assist you further.

    Regards,
