Windows 10: Old Email Messages

Hi
I am trying to retrieve some 3-4 years old messages in Thunderbird unfortunately without success. I can see there are messages in my INBOX in my profiles folder but no matter what attempted solutions I apply it's always a gobbledegook result. Right clicking on my Inbox mail folder, Properties >General Information it shows there are 93 messages, however there are only 30 messages visible. I realize I'm not doing something correctly to view these messages, but what? Help urgently required please. (Windows 10 Home 20H2).Thank you.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

New emails link to old emails and they all show in the inbox

• How many user account you have configured in the Windows Mail app?
• What do you mean by “New emails link to old emails”?

If you have configured more than one user account in the Windows Mail app then, I would suggest you to switch the user accounts and check the emails in the inbox.

Follow the below steps to switch the user accounts in the Windows Mail app:

• Open the Mail app.
• Under the Accounts select one user account and check the
  Inbox under Folders.

If the issue still persist then, I would recommend you to delete and reconfigure the account.
