Windows 10: old files not opening after windows installation

i got this problems that i installed window 10 on my pc . i already had window 10 but just wanted to pc fresh. after installing the window all my pics and videos i mean all my files that i had on my pc are not opening. i got lot of pics on my pic and now after installing window icant open them and its not just one app they are not opening in any app. i also transfer those files to other devices but they are also not opening on other pc or phone. are those files corrupted but how i mean it had nothing to do with wndow. would be helpfull if got any way to retrieve those file.

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
