Windows 10: Old Folder from Previous PC Showing Up on New Laptop

So, a few days ago, I noticed a new folder appeared in my Videos folder. The thing is, I recognize the name of the folder from my previous PC. It was empty, so I just deleted it.I assume that this happened either through my computer syncing with my Microsoft account or One Drive. What settings or options might I look into in order to prevent this from reoccurring?

How do I make a folder on one laptop visible to another laptop?

I re-read your first post. Here are the steps I've taken.

1) One folder on the old laptop => Properties => Sharing => Advanced Sharing => Share this folder.

2) Same folder => Properties => Security => all user names have full control. (My new laptop name is not listed). I don't see a way to add my new laptop name.

3) Folder Explorer on my new laptop => Network --- lists my Win7 laptop --- does not list my old laptop.

 

Moved a folder from another drive and rename and it still shows as the old folder name in certain places

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior.

• Create a new folder name it as 'My Videos'.
• Now copy/cut and paste the contents which are in the folder "Videos", and delete the folder "Videos".
• Now check the behavior.

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.
