Windows 10: Old login still showing

I have Windows 10 Version 20H2. I changed my email address and name on my Microsoft account. I made sure I did everything the way it should have been done, I created the new Admin account, made the new one the default account, removed the old email address and account from my microsoft account. Everything went fine, except for when I turn on my computer 75% of the time it starts up it shows the old login email address, and tells me the account password is wrong. Which I know it is because I changed all that information. The new account name is on the lower left corner of the screen, I then click on that, then log in as I should.


No matter what I have tried, I cannot remove this old login. It does not show up on my Microsoft account. I don't want to reset my computer to get rid of this. When I open an cmd prompt, the user name that shows up is the old email address. How do I get rid of this? I am currently using this computer for work, but I return to work, I will be giving this computer to my daughter and I don't want her to deal with this problem. When I hand it over to her, I would like the system to recognize her microsoft account and password information. I want any trace of my information eventually off. But if I can't get rid of my old stuff, how can I get rid of the newer down the line.


Hopefully someone has an idea that I haven't already tried.

Can't login to new computer w/Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.

Old User Account Still Showing Up

My wife got a new laptop and I'm using her old one at work. While still on Windows 7, I deleted her account and set up a new one in my name as administrator. I then upgraded to Windows 10. Every time I restart the laptop, Windows 10 wants to default to
her old account and shows it on the login screen. My account is listed in the lower left corner of the login screen as an additional account. I have to select my account instead of hers, enter my password and login as usual. Her name/old account is NOT
listed under user accounts or family accounts, etc. I have not found any way to completely delete her account or any other evidence of her name on this laptop.

How can I get, what seems to be a ghost account off this laptop? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

 

Ways to bypass the login theme and signin do not work

Tried setting netplwiz in option 1 step 4 which shows no check in users must enter ..... no bypass of login

Tried step 4 in option 5 below to disable require sign-on on wakeup via policy via registry but still no change on wakeup still getting the screen picture that requires hitting Esc to move to the sign in window which shows a silhouette image, my user name and a sign in button in order to access my desktop screen. Guess I will have to live with the extra steps.
