    So, there's this old OQO Tablet that my dad used for work in 2005. It runs Windows XP and seeing as it hasn't been touched in over 10 years I think it's safe to say that the service pack is not updated. With that being said, I can't get into it because it's technically an old work device and even though it's been defunct for over 10 years I've never been able to figure out the password. It being a tablet from 2005 means that it has very little options in terms of resetting. It has no CD drive so I've had to resort to backdooring everything. Nothing I do seems to work. The farthest I've gotten was using Rufus and Hiren's Boot CD in order to extract the password. When I did this, the screen flashed for a moment and displayed "USB Boot Device : MASS Storage Class [03CFh/FFh/3Fh] and then proceeded to display "syslinux 4.07 load error - boot error." To add to this: the BIOS menu claims to not be able to boot from USB but it displays Linux information implying that it DOES boot from USB...

    TL;DR: I have no idea how to crack the Windows XP password or even reset the thing.

    I believe the Windows version is 2600 or .070227-2254. I only managed to find this by going into safe mode so I hope this is correct. Thanks to anyone who reads this
