Windows 10: Old pc games help for windows 11

I still have all my old pc games on cd baldurs gate 1 and 2, StarCraft, broodwar, c&c red alert, dungeon keeper 2 etc how do I play these on my new windows 11 pc? I've copied the files across but have no way of using the CDs, unless I get an external cd drive. Any help?Ps no I don't want to rebuy them or different versions on steam example, I already own them and want to use them.Thanks

I would suggest you to refer the below link and check the compatibility of the game with Windows 10.

You may also try installing the game in compatibility mode.
Follow these steps to install the game software in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

        Right-click on the game setup file and click on
        ‘properties’.
        
      • 
        Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
        ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
        

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to get in touch with the game manufacturer if it’s specific to that particular game.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

• How did you installed the game?
  
• What happens when you try to run the game?
  
• Do you use any non-Microsoft anti-virus software?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if the issuer persists:

New User Account

I would also suggest you to create a new user account with administrative rights and check if the issue persists. Creating a new user account will not remove any data, app or settings from your current user account, this is just a troubleshooting step to eliminate the possibility of user profile corruption. Refer this article to create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10
