Windows 10: Old Trouble Persist Yet!

Dear Sir/Madam:


My w10 often very slow. Each slow-speed-time, I need to do:

“Disk-Cleanup” and “Defragment-and-Optimize-Drivers” both procedures. After doing the both procedures, the w10 recover to normal speed. The normal speed maintains 3-days, I need to do the both procedures again!!


The 2nd procedure “Optimize Driver” has designed to:

Scheduled optimization ON Drivers

are being optimized automatically.

Frequency: Daily.



But I never feel that the “optimize” is working!



My feeling is that the both-procedure is out of order. Could you tell me the exact reason?? --- Zhao

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

old email addresses

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type
the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly
allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

Trouble saving voicemail number

To access my voicemail it is my phone number, a pause and 4 digit pin.



I did the following steps:

• Turned off default voicemail number
• Added a , (for pause) at end of my phone number
• Added the 4 digit pin

I get the following error message We're having trouble saving your voicemail number right now. Try again later.



Any suggestions on how to correct this?
