Windows 10: Old Volume Control

Those who may want the old volume control, in Windows 10, with Speakers and Mixer links:





In the Windows Registry Editor, navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

and create a new sub-key under CurrentVersion named:

MTCUVC

then, right click in that key's right pane, create a new DWORD (32 bit) Value and name it:

EnableMtcUvc

and set the value to 0





That's it!

Option to control volume using mouse on Windows Media Player

Old title: Windows 10 player - volume controle.

It will be nice if the volume controle is in mouse wheel like GOM or VLC player in windows player.

 

Get the old style music controls on the lock screen

There is no option to get back the old behaviour. Just press a volume button on your phone. The first press doesn't change the volume, it only brings up the media controls overlay.

MS should have made a separate version of W10 for 8" tablets/phones and crAPPS.
