Windows 10: old Windows media

I've upgraded three pc's to W10 and have no plans to revert to the original editions, should I dump the old discs and product keys?

Yes, I chose to include existing apps and the only thing that went missing was Kaspersky from the W7 machine, and the Nvidia has been deleted and re-installed on one. I have hardware switching on all the pc's so I have kept W7 pro, W7ult and one 8.1 pro, so I will always have something that works. To save space, I have got rid of Windows old on each W10 install.

 

If have an old Windows 8.1 disc, then there's no point in throwing it away, and if ever need an emergency OS in case r Windows 10 machines break, then just pop it in and then burn a Windows 10 disc once in Windows 8.1 ( should actually burn a Windows 10 disc now, for that matter).

 

When I read my last post, I realised that it could be misinterpreted. The pc's had W7hp +8.1 pro on the first, W7ult +8.1 +W10tp on the second, and W7pro +8.1 on the third. Now one has two W10's on it, I have difficulty telling them apart.

 

I took advantage of the W8 cheap offer and bought two straight from Microsoft and the other from PC World, so I don't have an 8.1 dvd. None of the 8 - 8.1 machines have needed a reload of that Windows edition. The W7hp is for a refurbished pc.
