  1. omitting articles a,an,the in sorting from artists and titles in music folders

Is there any ability to have Explorer omit English articles - "a," "an," or "the" - when sorting by title or artist? I use multiple Android music players which will do this, and I wondered if Windows 11 was media-aware in the same way.I'm not talking about folders; I know that's not changeable in the OS. I mean when viewing title or artist within folders that Explorer recognizes as containing media files.

    :)

    Sort music by song artist?

    Hi showbixnine,

just to clarify things, on your windows phone, when you click on the Music Hub, then on Music and you then slide the screen to the left you do not have an option to sort by songs?

There, all songs should be listed in alphabetical order regardless whether the artist is an "artist" or just called "various artists".

Under each of the Songs, there should be the actual artists' name.

    Regards,

    Marc A.

  3. Groove Music - alphabetical sorting by artist

Each and every step was followed. Groove Music still shows that artist beginning with J under C. Other suggestions?

    omit "the" from folder titles

Hello, I have a music folder with about 800 folders and was wondering is there a way to list the folders alphabetically and have the folders with "the" in the title be listed by the second word. What i'm trying to say is for instance, The Rolling Stones
would appear alphabetically with the R's and not the T's.

    thanks
