Windows 10: On hovering on the battery icon in the task bar to check the battery percentage, it is...

When I hover over the battery icon, which is at the right side corner beside time, it was showing empty. Actually, it used to show, for instance, 55% percentage charged and 40 minutes left to fully charge the battery but now it showing nothing, its just empty.

How to show battery percentage on battery icon in task bar without hovering or clicking?

I want to show battery percentage on battery icon in the task bar.

Currently it appears this way.





I cannot see charge left percentage unless I click or hover over the icon.









What I have in mind is OS X like battery icon.

Windows 10 has a feature to personalize your task bar icons. To retrieve the missing battery icon on your taskbar, kindly follow the steps below:

• Right click on the taskbar and select Settings.
• Under Notification Area, click Turn system icons on or off.
• Look for Power and toggle Power to On. Your battery icon should appear in the system tray again.

Loss of battery percentage status icon on task bar

HI. I have a Lenovo laptop and am operating on windows 10.

After an update I was offered a new icon that literally shows the battery life percentage and opted to have that icon on my task bar. Yesterday I booted up my computer and watched all my icons appear and then the battery icon just disappeared. I open up
the up arrow box and it was not there either. How do I retrieve it? It was very helpful as I keep my laptop plugged in mostly so I can readily see how my battery is operating.
