Windows 10: On my desktop runing Windows11, the initial sign-in screen does not recognise my credentials.

After clicking OK a new screen appears with two accounts shown at the bottom left. One account is me with my picture and selecting it gives the usual log-in and accepts my PIN. The second account is my name without my picture and is the one that does not accept any of my log-in credentials. I cannot find this account with any of the usual methods but I would like to get rid of it. It makes for an extra few steps when signing in. Any tricks for remvng this invisible account from my log-in screen? Thanks
