On my laptop main display there is a black area almost an inch below the task bar. Basically, the Microsoft screen is not showing completely on the main display. Please help me.

Win 10, a black band 2 inchs wide on the right of the laptop screen, task bar hidden: please help!

Hello,

the screen of my laptop has shifted on the left and down, leaving a black band of 2 inches on the right. The tool bar on the below has been hidden as well. Really unhandy. Any ideas?

If the icon is hidden from the task bar, you can enable it by using the following steps. The icon might be hidden. Here's how to show the battery icon:

• Right-click an empty area on the taskbar, and then click
  Properties.
• Under Notification area, click
  Customize.
• In Notification Area Icons, click on Select
  which icons appear on Taskbar.
• On in the drop-down list next to
  Power, and then click OK.

If the issue still persists you can try Updating the latest Power management driver software for Windows 10 from the manufacturer website.

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."
