How do I stop the text underlying a hypertext link from showing whenever I rest the mouse over it? It's distracting.

Is the Status Bar enabled? (IE Menu Bar> View> Toolbars)

Are these pop-ups showing you the (1)URL or name of the site or (2)are they advertising redirects?

Can you tell, by hovering the pointer over the pop-up, whether these pop-ups are from vibrant media, kontera, intellitext or text enhance? The URL may show down in the Status Bar (bottom of the IE window.)

- by web mail in a browser?

What happens if you right click the link, then click 'Copy link location' or similar (the text depends on the program you're using) and then paste that into your browser address bar? Presumably that opens the appropriate page.

Hi, to configure hypertext so clicking on such links works, you will probably find you need to use the old control panel. That's what I found, as choosing a default browser when I originally did that did not include hypertext links. I don't know if that's been fixed in the last year or so- I've not seen a report of someone having trouble with it for about that time.

However, your issue seems strange in that you say it opens only the home page.
