    on screen keyboard keeps popping up even after disabling it in settings


    How do I disable the keyboard that keeps popping up on sctreen. I have disabled the on screen keyboard in serttings already but it keeps popping up and it makes filling out forms online an absolute nighmare. - you have to click off, then find the text box again, then as soon as you click in the textbox ping! up comes the keyboard again, it is really frustrating. How do I permanently disable this? My device isn't even touchscreen!

    Hi Lynda,

    The On-Screen keyboard may keep on popping up if it's not properly disabled. I highly suggest that you follow these steps:

    1. Select the Start menu and then type “ease of access”. Press Enter when the Ease of Access Center option appears.
    2. Click “Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard.”
    3. Uncheck the “Use On-Screen Keyboard” checkbox. Click OK to save your changes and exit this screen.
    4. Restart your computer.

    On screen keypad keeps popping up!.

    This would be a great fix IF I never wanted to use the on screen keypad! But I'm using a small tablet without an attached keyboard, I NEED to use the on screen keypad...WHEN I NEED IT! Every fix overlooks this option.

    Usually, I just click on the keyboard icon on tool bar or in some cases, when I click on the blank search bar, it automatically opens the on screen keypad. THIS IS FINE!

    However, when I'm just scrolling thru posts, etc., the on screen keypad pops up continuously. THIS ISSUE IS THE ONE WHICH NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!!

    On-screen keyboard keeps popping up on my pc's thats logged in with my Microsoft account. I turned on-screen keyboard off in settings but it still keeps popping up. Can someone PLEASE help me it's irritating the living wires out of me.
