Windows 10: On-screen keyboard not pushing text box above keyboard

In Firefox's bookmark app's window a text box to edit bookmark names is near the bottom of the window circled in redsuch that when I open the on-screen keyboard the text box is hidden behind the keyboard. Circled in red below shows all that remains visible of the text box with the focus after the on-screen keyboard is opened. Before I tried to fix another bug with the on-screen keyboard, Windows would modify the bookmark app's window pushing the text box above the keyboard to the blue area in above image. so I could see what i was editing. Now it won't. Suggestions of what now is corrupt a

Keyboard overlaying text in Messaging

When texting the keyboard comes up but not longer pushes all the texts up. The result is that the keyboard overlays some texts and most importantly the box I'm typing in. Checking another family shows the keyboard essentially coming up from the bottom
and pushing everything on the screen up.

I assume this is some sort of setting my toddler enabled, but I can't find where it is. I've tried a soft reset and may try a hard reset, but I'm not looking forward to that. Any help would be appreciated.

• Is your physical keyboard not functioning?
• Have you tried turning off the On-Screen Keyboard?

To turn off the On-Screen Keyboard, kindly follow the steps below:

• Click on Start.
• Go to Settings.
• Select Ease of Access.
• On the left panel, click on Keyboard.
• Under On-Screen Keyboard, make sure it is set to Off.

I suggest that you run the automatic troubleshooter to diagnose and fix issues that you can encounter with your On-Screen Keyboard. Do the following steps, please:

Start menu -choose Settings (the gear icon)

Select Update & Security, and then select Troubleshoot.

Find Keyboard on the list.

Click on it, and click the ‘Run the troubleshooter’ button.
