Windows 10: On screen keyboard not responding

I'm having problems with Windows 11 on my Surface Pro 7. The on screen keyboard frequently shows 'not responding' or is just unresponsive. I'm not sure if it's related but it often takes more than one click of the mouse to wake an app on the Taskbar. I have tried another mouse and it's the same. Not terminal but very annoying.Any ideas please?

I would suggest you to use the On Screen Keyboard by click on Ease of access login to the computer and then follow the below methods.



Uninstall keyboard driver and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard.
• Right on the Keyboard driver and click on Uninstall.
• Install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website.

I suggest that you run the automatic troubleshooter to diagnose and fix issues that you can encounter with your On-Screen Keyboard. Do the following steps, please:

Start menu -choose Settings (the gear icon)

Select Update & Security, and then select Troubleshoot.

Find Keyboard on the list.

Click on it, and click the ‘Run the troubleshooter’ button.

 

want to use manual keyboard----not on screen keyboard
