Windows 10: on trying to install various softwares and trying to run them on my windows 8 pc, it shows...

I NEED TO1. DOWNLOAD LIBRE OFFICE WRITER ON MY PC 2. USE THE MEDIA CREATION TOOL SOFTWARE 3. UPDATE MY WINDOWS 8 PC TO WINDOWS 104. INSTALL LATEST SUPPORTED VISUAL C++ REDISTRIBUTABLE ON MY PC I HAVE ALREADY INSTALLED ALL THE ABOVE SOFTWARE ON MY PCBUT EVERYTIME I TRY TO RUN ANY OF THE ABOVE SOFTWARE, IT SHOWS THE FOLLOWING ERROR LOG CODE- 0x80072F8F - 0x20000

Trying to get PhyX to run with ATI card on single monitor setup

Running a XFX 5870 (10.4 Catalyst drivers) as the GPU with a GTS 250 1gb installed as the PPU (257.15 beta drivers).

I've looked at the various guides out there and tried following the steps, but have gotten no where. So i'm basically left scratching my head trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong.

If anyone could provide an easier step-by-step process relative to my system it'd be much appreciated.

• From where have you downloaded this software?
• Have you checked if this software is compatible on Windows 10?

This issue might have occurred due to compatibility of the software on Windows 10. Try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after an upgrade to Windows 10.

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Also, visit the computer manufacturer’s website and install the drivers being found for Windows 10.

Step 2: I suggest you to install the software in compatible mode on Windows 10 and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated software from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right click the software installation file and select
  Properties then click the Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.
  
• Tap the drop down box and select a previous operating system, then click
  OK.
• Try installing the software and check.

I don't think that tool asks for a key if you are running the version of Windows you are trying to download the ISO for.
