  1. On Windows 10, regarding the Wi-Fi connection icon displayed on the lock screen

[Environment] Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB

    【Points I would like to teach】

There is a circle on the lock screen at the top left of the Wi - Fi connection icon, but when you click on it, the SSID of the connection destination is "connected".

When signing in, there is no ○ in the upper left corner of the Wi-Fi connection icon, and the SSID of the connection destination is "connected, security protected".

As you see "% systemroot% \ System32 \ imageres.dll" there is a corresponding Wi-Fi connection icon, so I think that there is something meaningful so that it exists.

I saw "Wi-Fi connection icons and what they mean", but there was no corresponding Wi-Fi connection icon. What does this Wi-Fi connection icon mean?

    :)

  2. Wrong wi-fi icon?

what if you try a simple disabling of the wifi network connection then enable it again and see if the icons change? It shows the Broadband connection as disabled anyways, so I cant think that would effect the icon status of the enabled wi-fi.

How to indicate wi-fi connection on taskbar/desktop with ethernet on

Using 'Select which icons appear...' I'm only able to toggle this one network icon. And it switches from wired to wireless, depending on whether the ethernet cable is plugged in.

Of course, the info is there, I just got used to not having to click on the icon. I always just looked at the corner of the screen every few minutes to make sure the wi-fi was still connected and ready in case my wired connection failed.

It's just strange for me that in the same scenario (ethernet connection + wi-fi active), Windows 7 would show the wireless icon (and it wasn't possible to change it either AFAIK), and Windows 10 shows the other one *sarc

Oh well, it's not the end of the world if it's impossible to change it, but any other suggestions on how to display the wi-fi state on the taskbar (or desktop) are still welcome.
