    facebook chat delivers messages from FB friends belonging to 'blocked' lists.

    Hi, I have a Nokia Lumia 920 and maaaany FB friends, organized in lists.

    Waaaaay back, in Facebook chat settings, I have bocked a few of those lists: I don't want to be contacted via chat by those FB friends.

    For them, simply, I'm not online.

    Recently, I have then enabled FB chat in the messages hub settings of my phone.

    Since then, on my Lumia I've received FB chat messages from friends belonging to blocked lists AND from FB users with wich I'm not friend at all (in this latter case, the message app doesn't even report the FB username, it justs says: "Facebook user".

    Is there a way to prevent messages from those 'unwanted' FB friends?

    FB chat in the messages hub is a nice and useful feature, but those 'unwanted' friends annoy me...

    Are you getting any error message when trying to access the Facebook (FB) chat app using cellular data connection? Have you tried testing if your cellular data connection is working and is stable? Try disabling the Wi-Fi connection under
    Settings, and then browse mobile websites using Internet Explorer mobile over cellular data. After that, try to access your FB chat account again using cellular data and see if it'll work.



    By the way, are you using the mobile browser, a downloaded app, or the inbuilt FB chat app (under
    Messaging) to access your account?



    • If you're using a downloaded app, try removing it, and then re-download it from the Store
    • If you're using the mobile browser, try to delete the browsing history of your phone by going to
      Settings > Applications >
      Internet Explorer > Delete History.
    • If you're trying to access FB chat using the default app, try going to
      Settings > Applications >
      Messaging. Disable FB Chat, and then enable it again to refresh the settings. You may also delete your FB account under
      Settings > Email + Account, and then re-set it up.
    Let us know if this information solved your issue with FB chat. :catvery-happy:
