Windows 10: On Windows preview for PDF file issue when the shared folder has # in the beginning.

On Windows preview for PDF file, when the file is under a folder with # in the beginning and it's a shared folder, it gives index content and not the preview. I tried different PDF reader applications to see if the issue was with the software, but it's not. Is there any solution besides changing the folder name?

Delete and Cut Files with Preview Pane Open

• Have you tried to delete the pdf file in preview panel?
• What exactly happens when try to delete the pdf file?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.

• Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
• What is the PDF viewer that you're using?
