Hi,I have been facing a slight problem. I have the below setting in my desktop wallpaper personalization. The problem is there are thousands of pictures in the selected folder and every now and then some background keeps on applying again and again. Is there any feature in Windows 11 that removes the background automatically after it has been applied on the desktop? I cannot manually choose and delete every image. Please help me out in this if there is any feature like that.

Lost desktop background

I did a Search & Distroy spyware scan the other day, and one of the suggested "fixes" said something about removing Active Desktop. Like the muppet I am I clicked yes and am now without a desktop background picture.

Does anyone have an idea how to reverse this? If I try to select a picture it's simply not added as a background.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
