    Hello. I have a problem. Once in 1 hour, sometimes more often my screen goes out and after 3-4 seconds lights up again. The cursor is visible, but it moves to the center point. Some games like GTA5, reset the screen resolution settings. From fullscreen to windowed. I have two video cards. One - Intel UHD graphics and Nvidia 3050 Laptop GPU. I tried to remove the drivers in safe mode I removed them from the device manager and then in normal mode I updated them through the driver installer. But the problem still exists. The laptop: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Katana GF66 12UCK. Win 11

    Surface Pro 4 Battery issues

    If the laptop works without the battery than the charger is functioning correctly. Take a cloth with a bit of rubbing alcohol on it (or some on-the-go alcohol swabs), and clean the metal contacts that connect your battery to your laptop.

    Make sure to install all Windows important updates.

    Install the latest versions of your laptop device drivers you can download the latest device drivers from the device manufacturer or from your laptop manufacturer website.


    Step 1

    1. Shutdown your laptop.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Connect the AC power adapter to your laptop.

    4. Power on the laptop

    5. Open the Device Manager by typing Devmgmt.msc into Start Menu or from Control Panel.

    6. Under the Batteries category, right-click all the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1).

    7. Shutdown the laptop.

    8. Insert the battery.

    9. Power on the laptop.

    If above suggestions won't resolve the battery charge issue then follow below steps.




    Step 2

    1. Shutdown the laptop.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Start the laptop with only AC adapter connected to the laptop.

    4. When you log in to Windows OS connect the battery while Windows OS working.





    Step 3

    Reset the System Management Controller. Use one of these methods to reset the SMC, which controls battery management, battery status light.

    1. Shut down the computer and disconnect the power cord.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Press and hold the power button for ten seconds.

    4. Reattach the battery and AC power adapter, then start up the laptop.


    Hopefully one of the above suggestions will help you resolve the battery not charging problem. If the battery still doesn't charge, you may need to replace your battery.

    Black Screen after 1-3 hours of game play

    Hello Everyone,

    Since a few months, I'm getting a Black screen after 1 to 3 hours of game play and the sound keeps going.
    (Games played: CS Go, Renegade X, Dota 2)

    The computer is not overclocked at all.

    There is no BSOD at all.

    When the screens goes black the light power switch from green to orange.

    The power management is configured to maximum power, screen sleeps in 15 minutes and computer sleep mode in 1 hour

    Here is a check list I've done.

    - checked the memory with memtest > test Ok
    - checked for the last bios update
    - last GPU dirver AMD 14.9 (before 14.8, 14.7 14.4 same issues)
    - last MB drivers
    - last SSD firmware

    Computer information

    CPU: Intel 1150 Xeon 1230V3 (new)
    MB: ASUS Z79M plus (new)
    RAM: Corsair Vengance 2X 8GB 1600 (old)
    SSD: Intel 530 240GB (old)
    GPU: Sapphire 7870 OC edition (old) new paste artic cooling
    PSU: Bequiet 850Watt bronze (new)
    CPU cooler: Corsair watercooling

    Monitors: 2x dell U2407 1920x1200

    CPU temp max 51 C
    GPU max temp 67 C

    In the system events the systems shows me the following errors.

    - ACPI errors driver errors (looks like fan errors)
    - Kernel 41 errors.

    Can some one be so kind to help me to solve this issues...

    Windows desktop screen goes black after a few seconds of logging in

    I mistyped the command on step 4, please retry as follows:

    bcdedit |find "osdevice" (this will display the correct Windows drive letter)


    1. c:\
    2. cd c:\windows\system32\config\regback
    3. Dir (This will list the contents of regback, note the date and be sure that the contents are not empty. If it is empty then this will not work STOP and DO NOT proceed

    4. copy *.* c:\windows\system32\config (press enter)
    5. Select ALL to the override prompt, it will say files copied, 5 hives will be copied
    6. Restart computer and test
