Windows 10: Once Win 11 is available, how much longer will MS support Win 10?

Will PS backport any Win 11 features to Win 10? e.g. Android app support? How much longer will MS provide patches or security patches? I know that no one knows answers right now (outside of Microsoft), but I thought I should still throw these questions to the forum.

Programs no longer supported on Win-10

I really hate to ask this, not expecting an answer, I’ll ask this question anyway.



I understand that there are a number of files/programs from late Win-7 and some versions of Win-10 are no

longer supported/recommended. Is there a file or a location of all these programs and where can it be accessed ?



Also curious to know that if these programs are no longer supported, then WHY still recommended and is

the information still available on WIN-10 ? NO Examples....just a VERY CURIOUS question.

Yes, it's called the Windows Technical Preview and you can get it here (ISO Download)

You'll have to sign up for a MS account using your email and a password.

I'm using it with a 480GB SSD as the OS drive and it ~does~ boot faster, much faster.
I also have a new Win-7 build with a pair of 120GB SSDs in RAID that takes longer to boot.

 

Win 7 SP1, Uninstalled / Reinstalled (took hours!), Win Update no longer installs KB3035583

How do you get KB3035583 after Win 7 SP1 is un-installed, and then re-installed, and then after SEVERAL hours Win 7 Update no longer offers KB3035583?

1) Many answers say look to the FAQ. The FAQ and answers say start with MS KB3035583.

2) The KB3035583 page says it is available from Windows Update (for many of us NOT).

3) When Win Update does not work, the answers say go to step 1), read the Get Win 10 FAQ.

Does anyone else see the problem with many of the Microsoft support answers here?

Also, a number of the fixes need the GWX directory to be installed. After UN installing Win 7 SP1, and re-installing, that "new" KB3035583 is now GONE!
