Windows 10: One Drive is full with 25.8 MB used of 5GB, how can that be?

How can One Drive be full with over 4 GB remaining?

Is Windows 10 practical to use with a metered internet connection of 5GB per month?

I intend to use a friends cable broadband connection to download the initial upgrade to a USB stick for later off-line installation so that is not my concern. My main concern is learning strategies to minimize the daily back-and-forth communication to Microsoft
after installation that will drive up my data usage beyond my 5GB monthly limit. Can someone suggest steps which I should take after installation of the upgrade to control data usage?

Thanks for the suggestions, Hazey. It has helped a bit, but not a huge amount. I've got it down to 70 MB in use, 17 MB free. The only one of your suggestions that I haven't followed was the one about switching the messaging folders from C: to E:. When
I tried switching, I just lost everything in my message folders on C:. Is there any way of copying these messages over?

I still have the 36 MB 'other files' listed when I check the memory details, which is really bugging me.

 

windows wont use hard drive

i made 1 5gb and 1 145gb patiton and only the 5gb shows up and my mb seems to be making a ticking noise not a hard drive or fan but the mb where the cpu is at
