Windows 10: One Drive Link

My access to One Drive Link broke after recent Windows 10 update. I get "Error Code: 0x8004da9a" I have been getting this for three days now. I can access my files online but I can't save them to my One Drive link. When I have auto save on for any office product the box opens and says..."Sorry, something is preventing us from uploading your document." I even tried to restore my computer to a point before the Windows 10 update. It fails because of a .lnk file which is to my One Drive account.


I have this same problem with my company laptop computer which runs Windows 10 Pro. I lost the access on the same day which also followed a Windows 10 Update.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's a WD My Passport that failed on you, @tomhenry ! *Frown
I'd recommend you to try using a different USB cable with it and see if that will help your system to detect it without it disconnecting.
I'd also suggest you to go to Disk Management and see how the drive is listed there. It won't hurt to check up on the health and SMART status of the HDD by running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics. - When you set a destination in drive, you should be able to set an address which is existing in the contact list

- You should be able to view all step by step navigations. right now you are not able to see complete direction steps.
