Windows 10: One drive not copying over sub-folders

    One drive not copying over sub-folders


    So I've recently started using One drive. My photos are stored in folders e.g Photo -> Travel -> Destination. When trying to copy the entire photo folder across to one drive it only copies the the names of the sub-folders but not the photo files. Is there a setting that has to be toggled to copy across sub-folders as manually doing seems lame. I was using google drive and never had an issue like this.

    WHEN I COPY A FOLDER FROM DRIVE C:\ WHICH CONTAINS SUB-FOLDER AND FILES WITH IN TO A DRIVE E:\ (WHICH IS MICRO SD) THE SUB FOLDER FILES DOES NOT COPY. ALL SUB FOLDERS ARE EMPTY.

    Hi Paulette,

    You can move the sub-folder by dragging the sub-folder from the other Picture Folder up to the main Picture Folder. However, the sub-folder will remain as a sub-folder.

    If you want to make the sub-folder as a stand alone folder, we suggest that you create a new folder on your desired location, then move over the files from the sub-folder to the new folder that you created.

    One drive not copying over sub-folders

    View extensions in one folder with sub-folders

    I have one folder with over 100 sub-folders, each with images. I wish to view the extensions on the files in each subfolder. But I don't want to view extensions for all my other folders and their few thousand files.

    Windows offers a way to view extensions, but can that view be limited to ONE folder and its sub-folders?
