Windows 10: One Drive problem

When I click START and get a long list of all the apps installed on my machine I see that One Drive is there. However, when I click the One Drive icon I get nothing; absolutely nothing, as if I had not clicked One Drive at all.
I should like to start using OD but I can't figure out a way to even get started. I only want to put one file there so I can get to it on a tablet and work on the file when I am not at home. Can anyone, please, give me a pointer or two of what is going on and what I am doing wrong?

Need some advice on computer problems.

Run HDtune (free version) on you hard drive. but most likely that the problem. You can also test your memory with Memtest86 as suggested above

You didn't list your OS

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
