Windows 10: One Drive save games issue

Hello dear fellow W10 users,

I need a bit of help from you. I enjoy playing video games on my PC and I have just had an issue with OneDrive as almost all of the save files from solo games are stored under documents (in their own folder of Course) in the OneDrive. The issue is that just recently I tried launching Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it told me I should check the permission I have for writing in the One Drive. Later on I played Call of Duty for about an hour and when I wanted to resume playing later I saw that it did not save the progress. So it means it is something with the OneDrive permissions. I tested saving a Word file in the documents or opening some of them and that is not a problem.

If you have any advice that would help me out a lot.

Windows 10 app saving to drives

Welcome to Microsoft Community and we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

Let me help you to fix the issue.

Let’s try simple steps and check if this helps. Since move option is greyed out, I would suggest you to un-install and reinstall the game and check. Follow the below steps.

• 
  Go to Settings and select System.
  
• 
  Click on App & Features, click on game and uninstall the game.
  
• 
  Now click on Storage and select a drive on
  New apps will save to.
  
• 
  Try re-installing the game again and check.

Optical Drive Issue

Appreciate your detailed return. Your added steps really helped.

Assuming I did the steps correctly, this is where I am now.

Screenshot 12 shows my CD Disc shortcut on my desktop.
Screenshot 10 shows the CD Drive shortcut listed in the “Send to” listing.
Screenshot 11 shows the “Send to” listing after the steps were taken, but the CD drive name is not listed.

So, it appears the steps did not work for me. And, I did try the steps, “If it still won’t do ……” and still no luck.

What do you think?
