Windows 10: One Drive This PC Only vs OneDrive

When configuring OneDrive, what is the difference in results in saving Documents and Pictures to This PC Only or OneDrive?

The Folders selected to sync with OneDrive will be uploaded and accessible on my 2in1 if This PC Only is selected.

What is different between these two configuration Options for OneDrive?

Perhaps the easiest is the one drive option. Just take those picture files and drag them into your OneDrive folder. That's it, that's the only step there is.

After you do that that picture will be in your OneDrive folder on your PC and the one drive app on your phone. It'll also be on the one drive on your Xbox or on any other device you ever use because one drive is universal.

 

two onedrive accounts one phone

hello all, I hope somebody can help,

on my work supplied phone a Lumina930 running windows 8.1 I have my personal one drive account and my business one drive account linked to the OneDrive app.

On my work pc I have only my business OneDrive account linked to the OneDrive app.

The camera roll from the phone is being synced only to my personal account, I want it to sync to the business OneDrive, how do I switch it, or even remove the personal account from the phone

If you save it to OneDrive it will be available to you on any computer connected to the internet. If saved to This PC it will only be available to that computer and if it is a shared drive only to the Computers on your internal network

 

I have both my Desktop and 2in1 configured as This PC Only. Files that are to a OneDrive folder will appear in the same OneDrive folder that is on the 2in1. There is not file sharing configured, nor is there a Home Group set up.

Is this behavior different than what you are describing? Of course, both computers are signed in under the same Microsoft account.
