Windows 10: One Laptop, two windows and two hard drives for BYOD Organizations

Here is my question:BYOD for organizations, but I want to keep my personal info separate from my work info. Is there a way that you can dual boot windows off of two separate hard drives? One hard drive and version of windows that is maintained by my organization with all the security features required, and the other hard drive would be my personal version of windows and files? The whole idea is that one would have zero access to the other.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Plug USB hard drive into old computer.
• Open File Explorer (Win+E) and open the USB drive.
• Open another File Explorer window and open your documents folder.
• Drag files to the USB drive.
• Move drive to new computer.
• Drag files to their new homes in the matching documents/pictures/videos/whatever folders you use to organize.

Laptop hard drive upgrade

If you ghost the OS from disk to disk with the same system it should work fine. Thing is you have to GHOST the disk, including the MBR or it won't be bootable. Any other normal laptop drive should work as long as the connections the same.



If you cannot make a backup install CD, you'll likely need to locate a windows install CD, unless you can ghost the drive. Thats pretty much your only options atm.
