Windows 10: One Monitor Goes Black When Playing Full Screen Video or Games - After Windows 10 Update

I have seen other post about this same issue. When I open a video playback app, and sometimes when playing a simple game (non-3D Accelerated), one of my monitors will go black if I expand the video or game into full screen mode. I have three monitors, with two monitors mirrored (showing primary desktop) and one being an extended desktop. So to give you an example, I have monitors 1 and 2 mirrored, and monitor 3 is for extended desktop. This way my wife can sit at the desk to the left of me and see whatever I am displaying on my primary desktop monitor. Anyway, so if I expand the video app or game to full screen on my primary monitor, the mirrored monitor just goes black. The same video or game should be showing on the mirrored monitor as well as the primary, but it is just black.

Everything has been working just fine for the past nearly two years, but the problem suddenly started happening after a recent Windows 10 update. I have already tried fiddling with all of the display settings. I have updated the Nvidia drivers and the display (monitor) drivers, but still no joy. This is very frustrating, since my wife and I like to sit and watch the same videos quite often. Now she has to turn and move in close so that we can both watch it on the one (primary) monitor. I have to believe that Microsoft is aware of this problem, and I am hoping they will quickly come out with a fix. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I might be able to resolve this issue, please let me know. Any help would be most appreciated.

Unable to play video games on Windows 10, black screen after log-in screen

Do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

• From where are you trying to play the video games (downloaded/ from website)?
• If you are playing games from website which browser are you using?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message when the game crashes?
• Are you able log-in to your computer?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated display drivers.

As you see black screen while logging to the desktop, I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft article about this issue, try the troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Also, I suggest you to install all the pending updates on your device.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Windows 10 Second Monitor goes black when set as main screen

i am trying to set my second monitor as the main display and whe i do that it goes black. When i set them as CLONE display they are fine but when i try to play a game the second monitor goes black AGAIN.

I am trying to set the second monitor as the main screen to see if i can game on the bigger screen instead but the monitor goes black when i set it as the main screen.

Intel Display drivers are fine. I had no problems with this before... But usually like always, Windows make some updates and now i am having this issue.

I haven't been able to find a solution to this.

Idk if its the resolution but when i set it as CLONE display they both show up fine, until i try to play a game and then goes black again.

I recently installed my new GTX 1050 Ti and updated it with all the latest drivers from the Nvidia website but for some reason my monitor keeps black screening whenever I start up a game or go to watch a video on Youtube.

It's not too bad with the videos as it happens for about 1-2 seconds and may only occur a few times before stopping.

But I'm playing Rome Total War right now and the black screening just won't stop. It will either happen once every 10-20 seconds, or spam me completely so I am seeing more black screen than the actual game.
