One monitor only displays part of application when "maximized"

The way my PC is setup, I have two monitors, and my right monitor occasionally does this when I try to maximize a new tab or application that is not set "as a default" to always load on my right monitor. What I do to no longer view part of my screen not showing is by doing either the keyboard shortcut windows + left arrow or right arrow, which will lead me to select and drag such tab normally.I have attached a screenshot that displays my view of Microsoft edge on my monitor. The way I have fixed the problem is restarting my PC, and this works. However, after a certain period of time, it stop

Maximized Applications - Monitor Shuts Off

I started having this issue about two weeks ago. Their have been a slew of updates from Windows 10 and from my GPU. When an application is Maximized, it causes my monitor to sometimes go to sleep. It is not 100% of the time, it is about 70-80% of the time.

Chrome causes it to happen whenever swapping tabs in a Maximized window, or opening a new tab. Windows applications like file explorer, settings, etc... seem to be 100% when maximized.

I have an LG27UD68 monitor using display port 1.2 at 4K 60hz. My GPU is a GTX 1080. Their have been no hardware changes.

I have tried a complete fresh uninstall of my GPU driver using the clean uninstall utility. I also tried downgrading to the last WHQL version of my GPU driver (also using the clean uninstall utility).

Can't maximize apps on monitor #2

I have 2 monitors, both of which worked fine on Win 10. I moved to a different PC and Win 11. The new computer has both a Display Port (DP) and HDMI port. Both monitors are HDMI, so I purchased a DP to HDMI adapter.

I’m unable to maximize any app on monitor #2. The maximized window is too big for the monitor; i.e., I can’t see the top, bottom or either side.

    I have:

    • Reversed the monitors, so that the DP and adapter cable are driving the opposite monitor
    • Installed new monitor drivers
    • Read through the website Microsoft Community Display and Graphics site.
The problem follows monitor #2—any app I’ve tried won’t maximize on monitor #2 but works fine on monitor #1.

    TIA for any help!

Maximized Applications - Monitor Shuts Off

That isnt the issue for me, mine is definitely caused by maximized applications. Any application that is maximized will instantly turn make my monitor disconnect as if there is not enough bandwidth on the cable to transfer the 4k 60 fps image to my screen. I will probably attempt to buy a new cable sometime next week.
