Windows 10: one of my usb drive has a 0x80070079 error report

Discus and support one of my usb drive has a 0x80070079 error report in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; Hi, I am currently trying to transfer a 13GB file to one of my usb drive and it gave me a 0x80070079 error... try the same file on another drive,...     Hi, I am currently trying to transfer a 13GB file to one of my usb drive and it gave me a 0x80070079 error... try the same file on another drive, nothing there. Does that mean my error drive is faulty hardware wise?? can formatting the drive helps?? or I should probably trash this one??

    Error 0x80070079: The semaphore timeout period has expired On a Windows 10 machine

    Hi all, I am getting thefollowing error, when trying to copy files from my PC running windows 10 to an external USB hard drive,

    Error 0x80070079: The semaphore timeout period has expired

    I have searched online and tried some of the so called fixes, such as disabling antivirus, and updating network drivers, swapping USB ports etc, but nothing seems to work. The drive works perfectly on another machine.

    It was working OK untile recently, probably since a recent windows update.

    How can I solve this problem? I cannot make a usb flash drive with a "0x80070079-0xA001A" error.

    In addition, can I use this usb flash drive to reset or restore a windows PC?
