Windows 10: One of two monitors grayscale after Windows update KB5010415

I just installed an optional windows update KB5010415, and after restart, one of my two monitors is grayscale. My laptop screen and one monitor are both fine. Color filter is off, I've reset the display driver, and I attempted to uninstall the update. I get an error that the update cannot be unistalled, however, I'm not sure that would fix the issue, since my other monitor and laptop displays are fine. I'm on a Dell Precision 7740 laptop with docking station to two Viewsonic monitors. I've restarted many time, with monitors plugged in and unplugged. Any thoughts?

  • I am referring the image colour on my PC monitor. Every Icon on my Desktop is now in grayscale, and not colour. See image below.

  • All. Everything displays in grayscale
• What was the previous color display you are referring to?
  • Previously, all Icons displayed in colour
• Could you please provide us more description of your concern?
  • Nothing displays in colour, grayscale only

Didn't see his post, was concentrating on looking for a cricket on the left! Well, it is finally fixed and you get it next PT. I guess now that Win 10 development is semi-nonexistent, the 10-team has time to read back thru 10 million feedback posts and make some to-do lists. *Cool

 

Grayscale display

Hello,

I was using a USB drive, ejected it properly, but my monitor immediately began displaying only in grayscale. How can I get my color back?
