So here is my situation. I have three total drives in my computer. - The main OS drive is an M2 drive, that is my C: drive.- Second drive is a Samsung SSD 1TB drive that I use as the D: drive and it's labeled Projects- Third drive is a matching Samsung SSD 1TB drive that I use as the E: drive and it's labeled Projects Backup. My intention is to eventually use GoodSync to mirror the two drives nightly, but I need to first limit the weird behavior. The E drive was originally used in a different computer that my wife used. I pulled the drive, formatted it and placed it in my desktop. Here's the w

SSD storage keeps filling up on its own

    Hi Ash,

There's a possibility that the files are just hidden. As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest following the steps below on how to display hidden files that's eating space of your SSD:

    • On the Search bar, type folder, and then select
Show hidden files and folders from the search results.
    • Under Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives,
      and then select OK.

Keep us in the loop with the result.

How to keep regedit changes from being overwritten on startup?

First of all, thanks for taking the time--I didn't mention it specifically, but I had already tried Netplwiz and the issue is the same as with Netuser--Microsoft accounts are 'hidden' accounts I cannot get to with those cmds (will try to post pics after I finish typing, but don't know about pic size limits, if any), and yes, the accounts are listed in the C/user folders.

From Netplwiz, the 'require all users to logon, et al' checkbox is checked.

I tried to change a setting in Registry once again along the lines you suggested and the same thing happened all over again. On startup the registry changes were once again wiped on startup, so I guess I'm back where I started.

Not sure if it might have any bearing on situation, but all of the initial local accounts, ie; admin and guest were disabled when pc was first set up and since then I have enabled the admin account, but I'm wondering if it would make any difference if I added local users if perhaps it is defaulting somehow to the Microsoft account because there's nothing else local aside from admin account.

    HELP x2!

Drive Letters, will they be overwritten or reassigned?

if you want to assign new letters to the new drives and keep you current drive letters assigned like they are now i suggest you take a screenshot of pc so you can manually reassign the various drive letters. i have the following saved in a folder on my backup drive called post os install. hope this helps.
