Windows 10: One old Windows 10 laptop not showing newly setup home wifi. Other newer laptop does show it.

Hello all,

I use a 5 year old Dell Inspiron laptop that is running on latest version of windows 10. Windows 10, 20H2
I recently bought a new Netgear Nighthawk WiFi 6 router.

But it does not show up on my 5 year old laptop.


Strange that this ssame WiFi shows up on a comparatively newer HP laptop.
I do see other wifi networks on my Dell laptop and they continue to change as well, so seem like it is detecting other networks.
But just not detecting my newer WiFi :-


Does this mean I'll have to update some drivers or something on my old Dell Laptop?

Please suggest what I can try to resolve this?

Wifi Available networks are not showing in laptop

My laptop is still showing wifi networks , but my home wifi is not showing , mymobile always connected with my wifi network , but my laptop not showing my wifi network as availbable its showing other networks

 

Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

Please follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo.
• Go to Settings (gear icon).
• Select Network and Internet.
• Then Wi-Fi.
• Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
• Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Wi-Fi shows a very low speed Windows 10 Laptop

For past several months, my Dell laptop running on updated Windows 10 shows a wifi internet speed of only around 4 mbps whereas the actual speed is around 25 mbps and tested on other devices. I am unable to resolve the issue in spite of all suggested and
other logical steps.
